The MOOoD is an alternative rock band from Romania, formed in april 2006 by Marius Moise (vocals), Bogdan Spirea (drums, backing vocals), Mircea Valah (guitar, backing vocals) and Virgil Chitu (bass guitar). From the first concert, in november 2006, the band continued to evolve, supporting big names in the romanian music industry like OCS, Timpuri Noi, Kumm, Zob, Luna Amara and many more.

In may 2008, The MOOoD signs a partnership with Emagic Entertainment, and, in july, the band makes it`s first appearence at a festival: B`estfest, the biggest international music festival in Romania, headlined by Alanis Morisette, Kaiser Chiefs, Cypress Hill and Manu Chao. After B`estfest followed Lenny Kravitz`s show in Bucharest, The MOOoD being the only oppening act accepted by the artist`s management, having the chance to play in front of a 16.000 + audience. In octomber 2008 the band has it`s first concert outside Romania, alongside Snails (brit-pop band from Republic of Moldova, participant at B`estfest 2009) in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. 2008 ends with the departure of bass player Virgil Chitu, who was replaced by longtime friend of the band, Horia Stere.

The MOOoD starts 2009 in full force, performing in january at Eurosonic Noorderslag Festival in Groningen, Holland. There, the band cought the attention of european concert promoters, who demmanded an album. After a series of concerts throught Romania with bands like Les Elephants Bizzarres, OCS, Eloize, Go to Berlin and others, in july the band performs for the second time at B`estfest, alongside legends like Santana, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Moby, Motorhead, The Ting Tings and many more. After B`estfest, The MOOoD went to Exit Festival in Novi Sad, Serbia to perform with bands like: Arctic Monkeys, The Prodigy, Korn, Madness and Mando Diao.

As we speak the band is working on their first official material and is preparing to shoot their first video.
